The    Emerald  Gems  Foundation  will  be  conducting  its  inaugural  instructional and development camp and coaching seminar held August  6-­8,  at  Ivanna  Eudora  Kean  High  School  in  St.  Thomas,  USVI.

A  total  of  80  campers  from  the  U.S.V.I,  both  boys  and  girls,  will  work on proper skill techniques and drills designed to improve their game and basketball knowledge. Campers will compete in 3-­on-3 and 5-­on-­5 games, as well as, shooting and skill competitions.  U.S.V.I.  basketball  coaches  and  NBA  personnel  will  instruct the campers.

Hall of Fame Coach, Larry Brown, will be the featured speaker of the inaugural Emerald Gems Basketball Camp coaches seminar.

In addition to receiving two full days of basketball instructions and development,  campers  and  coaches  will  be  outfitted  with  Nike  apparel and footwear. Campers will also receive Timberwolves and other NBA giveaways.

Emerald  Gems  Foundation  will  be  promoting  the  camp  through  various USVI youth basketball leagues and media outlets to gather a total of 80 campers ages 8-­17.

For  ages  8-­13,  the  first  40  Registration  Forms  received  will  be  awarded a spot in the camp.

For  ages  14-­17,  USVI  youth  league  coaches  will  assist  in  the  selection of 40 players based upon their skill level. All interested participants must complete and submit a Registration Form to be considered.
